“Sometimes, the best dialogues happen without a single word - just the right camera angle.”
🎬 Lights, camera, creativity! This week, we hit pause on our usual projects to roll into “Điện Ảnh Day” - a hands-on workshop where we explored how to tell powerful stories using only camera angles. No words, just vibes (and a lot of panning and tilting).
We kicked things off with The Ultimate Guide to Camera Angles - a crash course in how directors use shots to speak straight to your heart (or gut). High angles made characters look small and vulnerable. Close-ups zoomed right into raw emotions. It turns out, the camera always has something to say. Armed with popcorn and note sheets, we studied how each angle shapes a scene’s mood and message.
Then came the fun part: we each got a character + an action prompt, and had to storyboard a short scene. The twist? No dialogue allowed - only camera movement and framing to carry the plot.
The challenge: Let the camera do the talking.
The result? Mini masterpieces filled with drama, comedy, and suspense - all without a single spoken word. Afterwards, we played a guessing game: could others figure out your scene’s story from your angles alone? Spoiler: Some of us are secretly cinematographers.
This wasn’t just a film geek fest (though we loved that part too). It sharpened our storytelling instincts and reminded us:
"How you show something can be even more powerful than what you say."
