The role, in one line

We're not looking for someone who "does outreach." We're looking for someone who can take a rough target market, work out who inside it is worth talking to, and get a real reply - with no list, no script, and no process handed to them.

What you'll actually do

• Turn a vague market description into a real, workable list of people - decide what the segment actually means, then go find the humans in it
• Work out who inside an organisation actually cares about what we make, which is almost never the person with the obvious job title
• Write first-touch emails that get answered - short, specific, and clearly written to one person rather than to a list
• Build your own method and your own stack: scrapers, enrichment tools, Al, directories, whatever gets it done. Nobody will hand you a tool list
• Keep the system honest - track what you sent, what came back, and what that tells us about who to target next
• Hand warm leads to the people who close them, with enough context that they know what to say

What you're NOT‍

• Not a cold caller. There's no phone quota and no script
• Not a performance marketer no ads, no funnels, no attribution dashboards
• Not someone who needs the list handed to them before they can start
• Not a pure researcher who builds a beautiful spreadsheet nobody writes to
• Not a closer - you open doors, someone else walks through them

Who tends to do well here

• Ships something rough fast, then improves it - rather than planning until it's perfect
• Curious about strangers' businesses: enjoys working out how an organisation makes money and what it's struggling with
• Writes clearly in English. Not literary - clear. Most of the job is short emails to people who don't know you
• Comfortable being told the list was wrong, and going again
• Prefers figuring out their own path over being handed a rigid process
